Starting at 10am. North Shore SUP is hosting a free 4k Paddle Race around Barker's Island. Celebrating Lake Superior Day, this is a recreational race open to all human-powered watercrafts and all ages. See website for more info.

Tuesday July 23

Starting at 6:30pm. Blue Water Surge Dragonboaters will hold an Open Paddle in Superior at Barker’s Island for the community to come together for a night of paddling. This is great way to try out the sport and see what we are all about! All are welcome, no experience is necessary!

Wednesday July 24

Starting at 6pm. Swiftwater Adventures will offer a special Paddlers week evening express rafting trip for $40/person. To celebrate Paddlers Week join Swiftwater Adventures for a special evening express trip whitewater rafting on the St. Louis River. This special trip will chase the sun as we run rapids, swim and enjoy the wilderness like scenery. Meet at 5:45pm at Swiftwater Adventures, bus heads to the put in shortly after 6pm. Thursday July 25

Paddlemania: St. Louis River Rendezvous 2019 -Saturday, July 27th & Sunday, July 28th

Paddlemania is an annual event where whitewater paddlers from around the region and nation come together to enjoy the beauty and the challenge of the St. Louis River. Watch expert paddlers, learn about whitewater kayaking, or get a team of four together for team rafting! Paddlemania is also for those interested in getting into whitewater paddling and for those folks that enjoy watching whitewater paddling. Blast to the Bridge is a whitewater kayak downriver race. Watch expert kayakers paddle the steep and technical rapids of the lower St. Louis River through the heart of Jay Cooke St. Park. Best time wins!

Saturday July 27 (3-8pm) and Sunday July 28 (noon-6pm)

UMD Recreational Sports Stand Up Paddleboarding $25 per person. Join us at the Lester River mouth for basic instruction using our stand-up paddleboards, prone paddleboards, surf skis or kayaks, with paddle, lifejacket and wetsuit provided. Equipment is distributed on a first come first served basis.
